How Dibz works
Five things Dibz does that make house hunting in the GTA easier, and how to use each one.
Shared lists
Save homes into lists and share a list with anyone you're searching with: a partner, family or roommates. Everyone on the list can add and remove homes, so you aren't sending links back and forth.
- Tap the heart on any home to save it to a list.
- Open the list and invite people with a link.
- They join with the link and see the same list, updated as anyone adds homes.
Drive times from your places
Add the places you go most, like work, school or family, and Dibz shows the drive time from each home to each place. Comparing two homes' commutes becomes one look instead of a map search per home.
- Add your places under My places.
- Open any home to see the drive to each place.
- Use the map to compare areas by how far they are from what matters to you.
Drive times are estimates; check the route at the times you'll travel.
Neighbourhood search and lot lines
Search for a neighbourhood by name and Dibz outlines its boundary on the map and shows only the homes inside it. Switch to the satellite map to see the street, the yard and the homes around it.
Property lines show each lot's shape where the city publishes open parcel data, including Toronto, Mississauga and York Region. Turn them on or off under Layers on the map.
Upper, main-floor and basement rentals
Rental searches often mix all the parts of a house together. Dibz sorts rentals by the part of the house: whole houses, upper portions and main floors, basement apartments, condos and rooms. Pick the kinds you want in the Rent filter and the rest stay off your map.
Rooms in shared homes are kept apart, so a single room isn't listed as a whole basement or upper unit. More about rentals on Dibz.
Book a showing with up to 3 times
Found a home you want to see? Pick up to 3 times that suit you and send the request. Your agent confirms one of them with the listing brokerage, and you get a message when it's booked.
- Open a home that's for sale or for rent and tap Book Showing.
- Pick up to 3 times and add a note if you like.
- Your agent confirms a time, and you see it under Showings.
