Text messages (SMS)

Dibz, run by Plancier Technologies Inc., sends one kind of text message: a one-time security code that confirms a phone number belongs to you. We don't send marketing texts.

What we send

When you add your phone number in the Dibz app or on dibz.ca, we text you a short code to confirm it's yours, so calls connected through Dibz reach you and nobody else. For example:

Your Dibz verification code is: 123456

How you agree to receive texts

Adding a phone number is optional. You're asked for one in the app or on dibz.ca before you call an agent through Dibz, and (with a "Not now" option) before your first message to an agent. You type your own number and tap Text me a code. Right under that button it says:

By tapping Text me a code, you agree to get a one-time security code from Dibz by text. One message per request. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Terms · Privacy

No text is sent until you tap the button. The screen looks like this:

The Dibz Add your phone number screen: a phone number field, a Text me a code button and the texting consent wording under it

Your privacy

We use your number only to confirm it and to connect calls you ask for through Dibz. Your mobile number and your consent to receive texts are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Codes are sent for us by our provider, Twilio. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
